Raised in the Philadelphia area, I studied in the U.S. and abroad but earned my real education living and working in ten foreign countries, navigating a fascinating, highly taxing career.
Through my public service calling I've taught communications, managed a startup incubator, helped arts institutions through tough economic times, and led projects to raise air quality awareness and reform secondary and higher education. As a young man I worked with village farmers in West Africa to improve their crop yields and quality of life.
I have a wonderful wife, two grown children, and a crazy-smart former street dog. My hobbies include riding my bike and playing my guitar
